Privacy Policy
What this website collects, what it does with it, and — just as importantly — what it does not collect.
The short version. We collect what you type into a form — nothing more. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracking on this site. We do not store visitor IP addresses. We set no cookies at all until you put something in your cart. We have never sold personal information and will not.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Next Generation Deer Feeders LLC, which is the company responsible for the personal information described below. FeedVault™ is a trading name (DBA) and the brand under which we sell the product; it is not a separate company.
Where to write to us — including for any request to see, correct or delete what we hold about you:
Next Generation Deer Feeders LLC
314 W Edgewater Ter
New Braunfels, TX 78130
United States

2. What we collect
When you send us a message
The contact form collects your name, email address and message. We keep it so we can reply and so we have a record of the conversation.
When you place an order
The checkout collects your name, email address, shipping address and, if you give it, your phone number. We need these to take the order, ship it, and be able to reach you about it.
When you subscribe to the newsletter
Just your email address.
Page statistics
The site counts its own page views. Each record holds the page address, the time, the website that linked to you if any, and whether the request came from a phone, a computer or a robot.
It holds no IP address, not even a shortened one, no cookie, no session identifier and not even the browser's user-agent text — only which of those four categories it fell into. There is nothing in those records that identifies a person, which is why we are comfortable keeping them.
Junk-mail defences
To stop automated form spam we keep a one-way cryptographic hash of the sending IP address alongside a count of submissions. The hash cannot be reversed to recover the address, and the address itself is not written down. No name, email or message text is stored with it.
Texas ag/timber exemption certificates
If you claim a Texas agricultural or timber exemption at checkout, we collect the certificate you upload and whether you claimed the agricultural or the timber exemption. That document normally carries your name, address and ag/timber registration number.
Why: Texas requires the seller to hold a copy of the certificate to support an untaxed sale, so we cannot honour an exemption without it. Where: stored outside the public website, readable only by a signed-in administrator, and never published, indexed or sent to anyone else. We use it for tax verification and nothing else.
3. What we do not collect
- Your card number. Card details are entered directly into Square's own secure payment field. They never touch our servers, and we never see or store them.
- Your IP address. We do not store it against your message, your subscription or your page views. (Our web server keeps standard access logs, as every web server does, for security and troubleshooting; they are rotated and discarded after about two weeks.)
- Tracking data. No analytics company, no advertising network, no social-media pixel, no cross-site tracking of any kind.
4. Cookies
Browsing this site sets no cookies. The home page, the shop and the other public pages do not set one, which is why you have never been shown a cookie banner here — there is nothing to consent to.
Two cookies exist, and neither is used for tracking:
- A shopping-cart cookie (
fvsess), set the first time you add something to your cart, so the cart survives between pages. It holds a random identifier and nothing else, and it expires when you close your browser. - An administrator sign-in cookie, used only by the site owner's private admin area. It is never set for a visitor.
5. How we use what we collect
- To take, fulfil and support your order, and to send you the order confirmation and receipt.
- To answer the enquiry you sent us.
- To understand which pages of our own website get read.
- And only if you have expressly opted in, to send you product updates and offers.
Marketing email is opt-in, and only opt-in. The checkbox on the checkout and the contact form reads “Email me product updates and offers.” It is never pre-ticked, and never required — your order and your enquiry are handled exactly the same way whether you tick it or not. Subscribing to the newsletter is itself an opt-in, because asking for the newsletter is the whole point of that form.
We record when you agreed and which form you agreed on, so the permission is always traceable. Customers who bought or wrote in before we introduced the checkbox are recorded as having not opted in, because they were never asked.
Order confirmations, receipts and replies to your own message are not marketing and are sent regardless.
6. Who else sees your information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. It is shared only with the services needed to run the site:
- Square — processes card payments. Square receives the payment details and the billing and shipping information needed to take the payment, under its own privacy policy.
- Google Workspace — delivers our email. Messages we send you, and enquiries you send us, pass through Google's mail servers.
- Google Fonts — supplies the two typefaces this site uses. Your browser fetches them from Google's servers, and as with any request to any website, Google receives your IP address in order to answer it. No font request carries anything about you or about what you were doing on this site.
- Shipping carriers — receive the name and address needed to deliver your order.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
7. How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as we need them for business and tax purposes. Enquiries and subscriptions are kept until you ask us to remove them. Page statistics contain nothing that identifies anybody, so they are kept indefinitely.
8. Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also ask us to stop sending marketing email at any time, whether or not you ever opted in.
Please contact us and we will do it by hand. Use the contact form or email sales@thefeedvault.com. We do not yet have a self-service unsubscribe link, because we do not yet send bulk email at all. If that changes, every marketing message will carry a one-click unsubscribe link and this page will be updated to say so.
We will not treat you any differently for asking.
9. Security
The whole site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Card details never reach our servers. The admin area that can see order and customer records is password-protected and is not indexed by search engines.
No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise — but the less we collect, the less there is to lose, which is the main reason this page is as short as it is.
10. Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or what we do with it, we will update this page and change the date below. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
